With more than 140 years of experience behind it, IWC Schaffhausen knows how to do things right. This top-of-the-line watch manufacture is all about excellence. That may be why so many celebrities flocked to Culver City Studios, CA, a couple of evenings ago to celebrate “A Night in Portofino” with the brand. In fact, IWC brought the entire concept of the wonderful Italian seaside town of Portofino in for the exclusive event to exhibit its collaborative effort with legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh.
Lindbergh photographed “A Night in Portofino” with IWC and its Friends of the Brand last May to capture the true elegance of Portofino as it was in the 1960’s and Lindbergh sees it. Among those photographed in the nostalgic town were Cate Blanchett, Kevin Spacey, Elle Macpherson, Luis Figo, Matthew Fox and Eric Dane. 
The resulting exhibition “Peter Lindbergh’s Portofino” consists of a series of impressive black-and-white photographs that were the highlight of the event. The exhibition, which I had the distinct pleasure of viewing earlier this year in Geneva,will now tour major cities around the world. Among the celebrities at the event were Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Rebecca Gayheart, Sylvester Stallone, Joe Manganiello, Rob Lowe and a host of others.
